This fun piece was part of a collaborative exercise I participated in with Floral Bowley and Alena Hennessy while staying in San Miguel, Mexico last January (see more here). We made four large scale paper panels and shared the process together. I finally had this piece scanned at high resolution and framed. So you can see the colors in real time. It was the first time I worked with other artists on something and the process was fun, awkward and inspiring. We drew straws and I got to take this pretty baby home. Can you see all three of our styles here? Our relationships to color, negative space and design are all different so it felt like a dance as we worked. I'd love to try something like this again on another adventure.
