Finally putting this painting I did while in Mexico last winter- to good use for PAPAYA! It's mostly acrylic on paper. Which is a great trick if you're traveling btw. You can use lots of big, high quality papers and then just roll them up and take them home for transport. I don't like having to unstretch and restretch canvas all that much. I usually ship them whole when possible. So paper is a great option. Anyhoo... I love the massive lillies of Mexico, and we bought as many as we could carry in the market. I used a reference of a womans face from an old hispanic photograph, found in the home we stayed in. (Complete with art studio! Thanks to Flora Bowley) It feels good to be getting these pieces dialed in for upcoming collections. Need to get back in the studio for more!
