Ive been dreaming and playing a lot with more abstract imagery and liking less detail lately. But my love of faces and flowers is just a part of who I am. No changing that.
So my inspirations and my natural style are in a dialogue at the moment. Growing I suppose. Which is why these beautiful paintings by artist, Francoise de Felice are so moving to me right now.
Her artwork is such a beautiful balance of impulsive, and abstract with human subjects and florals all mixing together. Her artwork looks carved out of the paint, more like sculpture in 2-D. So, so beautiful. I would love to see them in person and I like to imagine them quite large. (but don't know)
Yes I love her work too since some years now I had the chance to get to see some of them live in Dinard, Brittany when I was there on holidays (which is not that far from where I live actually).
There is some sort of mystical poetry in them.
I would say that her paintings are between 20 to 50 inches more or less.
So nice to see Françoise's paintings here, I did not know that she was so well known abroad!
