I have binders and binders full of clippings and magazine photos of homes, interiors, decor, etc., and had so many folders of images on my laptop as well when my husband and I stumbled across our home (with the help of our real estate agent who had once been our rental property landlord). I walked in for the home tour and boom, boom, boom, images and ideas just fell into place as I looked through each room, hallway, etc.

Certainly not what our friends might have chosen for us, but it was totally meant to be after years of dreaming, imagining, and arranging in my head!

Congratulations on becoming a new homeowner- so nice when the space is ~yours~, all yours!

Daydreaming is fine, but, not too much of it. :) Also, researching and finding model sections of your house is healthy as long as it would not go beyond your financial capacity. Finding illustrations to base your designs on, would help in creating your own. In that way, you would not be scattering for ideas on how your house would look like. Good luck, Anahata!

Looking at those photos, I can guess that you love patterns, nature and open spaces. It’s a nice combination. I mean, the open space focuses the attention to the patterns that you’ll use. The same goes with nature designs; if the space is open, it’s easier for you to see them!
