I've been a little obsessed with black and white for a while. And in my new house I have an all white space with these lovely but very black counter tops. So I decided to turn the pantry doors into chalkboard doors to tie the granite together. And I wanted to create some permanent bordering for the chalky areas in basic white paint. So this is stage one. I've got a start at the top and I plan to take over the bottom areas as well.

HI Anahata,
Would you consider coming to San Juan Island to teach a workshop???

What a fabulous idea! When I moved in here two years ago, I painted a chalk board area behind my kitchen do. I was going to frame it out, but just never got around to it...and it just looks so bland and boring! I think I just might pirate your idea and paint my own design on it - thanks for sharing!!!

Love it! It looks great as is but will be cool to see how it evolves as you add to the bottom areas.
