Thanks to the incredibly curated blog, Fly Girls, who originally shared these photo's, I've had these images as on hand inspiration for a few months. Studio Too Good created these fashion sets with such amazing forward thinking. Faye Toogood captured a natural idea and made it come to life. Tranforming an idea into a reality doesn't usually go as planned. I imagine the success of these concepts had to be so rewarding. As we at PAPAYA! think of various ways to reinvent tradeshow displays, retail environments etc, designer/ artist's such as TooGood are fantastic living models of ideal experimentation. I'm inspired!

Amazing! That top image screams Papaya!

I've been inspired by these too. They were in a Vogue pull out last year some time and I've collaged them, drawn them and generally just artistically drooled over them! In fact, that whole copy of Vogue proved to be such a great source for me for so many pieces!

These also remind me of some scenes from March anthropolgie catalogue and also Henri Rousseau paintings. I bet somewhere one of the creators spent some time standing in front of the Rousseau painting at the Phila. Art Museum. I'm not saying copying, I'm saying they were inspired. I love these.

Jewel Box I totally agree with you. Couldn't remember to my horror the painter's name. So great that you mention it here. Like she wanted to live inside one for a moment in time.

this are cool! I needed to attach the label to the front using fabric glue. I then placed the sticker over the top and to ensure that it did not come off, I attached a decorative brad at each end of the sticker right through the container.

Art, however, is not meant to be useful. Its sole purpose is to evoke feeling.
