I didn't have a television here to ring in the election but OBAMA fever is in Belize as well. I was in Belize city on Nov 5th and the city was a buzz with OBAMA love and the feeling of triumph. People in the market, taxi drivers, homeless... all shouting OBAMA in the streets. In the market people where spreading the word for the OBAMA bash and the Belizean parties to celebrate. It was a proud day and I felt I could hold my head a little higher as an American tourist. People here feel the pride for our country as if it where there own. I knew late on the 4th that he'd won because the island erupted in screaming and people where shouting all along the beach. Just another report of the support flowing in from the world over. I am sad to have not felt the spirit in the states for election day but I was deeply touched by the foreign pride and support. The poster here is from a Southwest Campaign by artist Date farmers (wow- Blow your mind artist's!) based on Mexican revolutionary posters. So cool.

I understand what you mean about being away when something that changes this country (and the world) happens. Though not quite the same, I was living in Puerto Rico on 9/11 and I have always felt a little disjointed about it. Anyway, I LOVE your work and follow your blog, and really look forward to seeing all your newly inspired artwork!
