Silk nog rocks! No one believed me last year and then I made them all try it at my New Year's open house. Now there is a huge crowd of believers in DC.

I'm totally looking forward to a huge glass when I get home next week!

I am a sucker for embroidery too -- and those dresses are cute, but would look like moomoos on me also.

I used to wear dresses like these when I was a kid. My mom would buy them from Mexico and at a market in San Antonio, Tx. I got called Pocahontas a lot growing up:)

LOVE the dress. Reminds me of the fantastic book Native Funk and Flash!

Oh my God Beccajo,
I used to have that Native Funk & Flash book when I was in high school. My mom's old boyfriend had a copy from the seventies he gave me. I have no idea where it is now. But that book totally rocks! Looks like amazon has a bunch of them too. How freaky!

those dresses are wonderful , I used to wear it long time ago at the art school...
funky style, but everybody at mexico use them... ..very cheap and easy to find there...
now I don't use them any more... but is nice to remember...
hugs and nice holidays!

These are great dresses, but I never see any around. I sent you an email. xo

i ended up with TWO copies of that book, my mom's copy that she had stored away in some forgotten box, and another one I'd picked up at a thrift store.

there was some fashion designer a few years back that TOTALLY ripped that book off for his collection. he got caught, and it was pretty much hilarious.

what goes around comes around!
