Here's a peek into my house. Hehe. Just kidding. I treated myself to this incredible picture book today. It was hard to choose pics for posting. Every page is gasp after gasp for me. I loved the modern pages as much as the romantic standards of flea market designs. This book is worth every penny! One of the coolest ideas in the book was painting chalkboard paint on big furniture and chalking them up. I love this idea and never would have thought to do it on things like a wardrobe. Also they made a drape divider out of old hankies and scraves! Loose with pins. I LOVE old hankies (especially the Romanian-ish "baboushka" ones with roses) but they really don't look so good on me anymore. I am always tempted to buy them up at yard sales etc but never know just what to do with them. I am not fond of the color scheme of the one showed here but this could be a great patchwork project! Really cool stuff.
The Book is called FLea Market Style, by Emily Chalmers. Happy Dreaming!
